Charm City Yarn Crawl Y’all!

It’s that time of year again – time for the Charm City Yarn Crawl! This is our second year participating, and we’re excited to be part of such a fun event. We have extended hours all week long, so be sure to stop by and pick up your official yarn crawl tote – this makes you eligible for special discounts and prizes from participating shops. With 13 shops in the mix, there is a whole lot of yarn to ogle and projects to plan.

Just think, you can stock up for the year with local yarn at great prices – it’s a win-win!

Charm City Yarn Crawl 2018!

yarn crawl

We Say “Yarn”, You Say “Crawl”! Yarn! Crawl! Yarn Crawl!

We are thrilled to be participating in this year’s Charm City Yarn Crawl!  This is a wonderful week of exploring your local yarn suppliers, getting great discounts, and entering to win prizes!  You must purchase a Yarn Crawl tote ($15) and have it with you to receive the discounts, but believe us, it’s worth it.  The totes are available at our own Little Boutique online (for in-store pickup), or at any of the participating shops.  Fourteen different yarn stores in the area are participating, and every one of them will have great specials you won’t want to miss!

In addition to offering the yarn crawl discounts all week, we will be offering demonstration events during the weekends.

On April 8, 14, and 15, we will have demonstrations every two hours, cycling through Ravishing Roving (art batts & rolags), Spiffy Spinning (art yarn techniques), and Fabulous Felt (needle felting).  Heather can’t wait to show folks the different techniques she’s learned at various workshops during the past year!

Please note that we will not be able to offer demonstrations on Saturday, April 7.

Heather is giving a talk that Saturday with the Creative Knitters Guild in Kensington, so she won’t be on the farm to work her magic with fiber.

Please visit http://charmcityyarncrawl.com/ for all the details about the totes, the prize entry passports, and, of course, the participating shops.  We can’t wait to see you!

Join Us at the Frederick Fiber Fest!

This weekend, June 10-11, is the Frederick Fiber Fest, held at the Frederick News-Post Building.

We are excited to be a vendor at the Fest again this year, and look forward to enjoying the weekend with our fellow fiber enthusiasts, ranchers and artisans alike!

Of course, we will have gorgeous fiber products available for purchase, thanks to our beautiful alpacas!  You will love our collection of luxurious, one-of-a-kind yarns that are hand-dyed, hand-spun, and hand-corded.  For larger projects, we have a great selection of wonderfully soft cottage-milled yarns.

We have a large variety of colors and weights available – you’ll just have to see for yourself!

Admission to the event is FREE!  There will be food vendors as well, so go ahead and make a day of it!

News Flash!! New Cria!! June 13th Prince of Persia was born

We are so excited at the birth of a new cria on our farm – a gorgeous dark brown boy, Prince of Persia. His dam is the lovely multi-champion Fortuna and his sire the striking Ringo. This boy was a whopping 21 pounds at birth and was up walking around in the first 30 minutes! He is a playful boy, already full of dense, gorgeous fiber. We can’t wait to add him to our show string. Stop by to visit this handsome boy!
